The simulation processes are core to the Newbus Technology developments. These are applied at two main levels – at the Vehicle System level and the Transport System level.
The Vehicle Simulation analyses study the whole power and energy processes on-board the vehicle. The primary tool for the vehicle simulations is the ADVISOR simulation software. This was initially developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado, USA.
The tools apply to all the main road-based modes from BRT thru GRT down to PRT. These system studies can quantify both overall performance and system characteristics. This allows comparative analyses to assess the effects of any design changes of the overall effectiveness.
